Up Colors Balada

I was one of the lucky winners of LLarowe's latest "Every Polish Counts" giveaway. She gave away one of each polish that's available in her store. The polish I received is Up Colors Balada.
Balada is a berry red polish with red to green flakies in it. It's a jelly polish and required three coats for opacity. Dry time was good.

This isn't a polish that I would normally ever pick out for myself. I rarely reach for reds or flakies but when I opened the package that it came in, I couldn't stop looking at how pretty the polish looked in the bottle.
While I do like how it looks in the bottle, I'm not a fan of how it looks on me.
For anyone out there who likes reds/berries or who likes flakies, this would be a wonderful polish for you!

  1. I think it does suit your skin tone (baed on the photos) I'm also very pale. And I adore reds on me, somettims I think it somewhat helps to create an even skin tone apperance.

    1. I do think it's a nice color but I just know I'll never wear it. I usually reach more for blues and purples than I do for reds and pinks. But I've always been that way, even in my closet I don't think I own any red items of clothing.

  2. Very pretty and unique! Reminds me of a Ruby jewel. I tend to stray away from reds too, but for those who do like it this is a nice one!

  3. Oooh, I love those flakies!!

I like having to reach outside my comfort zone a little sometimes. Sometimes if I leave a new colour on for a little while I realize I actually like it a lot more than I thought at first. I like this particular colour a lot, though, both for itself and on you. ;)

  4. I think it looks awesome on you! I'm not a fan of reds either, but flakies... oh my gosh, I love me some flakies and their color-shifting magic :)

  5. If you put this over a dark color, especially black, it really looks gorgeous!!! Try it out!
